Objective To discuss the clinical value of the treatment of the distal femur fractures using locking compression plate. Methods From July 2006 to March 2009. A total of 38 distal femur Fractures were treated with open reduction and internal fixation with locking compression plate. There were 8 cases of type-A ,6 type-B, 10 type-C1, 8 type-C2 and 6 type-C3 according to the AO/ASIF standard. The outcomes were evaluated according to postoperative functions of the knee. Results 38 patients were followed-up from 6 months to 24 months. The results were excellent in 30 cases, good in 6 according to Merchan standard. the knee joint function scores showed out that the excellent and good rate was 97.4%. Conclusion Locking compression plate is an ideal choice for the dista1 femur fractures. |
