Objective: To compare the application effects of high flexion rotating platform(RPF) prosthesis and high performance fixed platform(HFB) prosthesis in total knee replacement. Methods: A total of 80 patients(83 knees) undergoing total knee replacement were selected in this hospital. 106 patients were divided intogroup H(37 cases, 38 knees) giving HFB prosthesis and the group R(43 cases, 45 knees) receiving RPF prosthesis. The HSS scores and knee mobility were compared between the two groups before operation and at the last follow-up. Results: The two groups were followed up, with the average follow-up time in the group H for(25.13±2.85) months, and the average follow-up time in the group R of(24.89±2.74) months. Knee HSS scores before operation showed no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05); at the end of the follow-up, knee HSS scores in the two groups were significantly higher than those before operation(both P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the two groups at the last follow-up(P>0.05). There was no significant difference in knee mobility before operation between the two groups(P>0.05); the knee mobility of the two groups at the last follow-up were higher than those before operation(both P<0.05), and the knee mobility in the group R was significantly higher than that in the group H, which showed that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: HFB and RPF prosthesis both can achieve good results in total knee arthroplasty, but RPF prosthesis isbetter than the HFB prosthesis, in improving the knee mobility, so it has a higher value. |
