Objective:To investigate the effect of budesonide combined with terbutaline inhalation on mycoplasma pneumonia (MPP) and pulmonary function in children. Methods:One hundred and eighty patients were selected as study subjects. All the patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 90 cases in each group. The control group received routine therapy, while the observation group received treatment of budesonide combined with terbutaline inhalation in addition to routine therapy. The therapeutic effect, time of clinical symptom improvement, forced vital capacity (FVC), peak expiratory flow (PEF) and forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1) were observed and documented in the two groups. Results:The effective rate (91.1%) in the observation group was significantly higher than that (78.9%) in the control group (P<0.05). The time of defervescence, disappearance of cough, asthma and moist rales in the observation group was obviously less than that in the control group (P<0.05). The FVC, PEF and FEV1 were improved both in the control group and the observation group 10 days after treatment. The pulmonary function of observation group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Budesonide combined with terbutaline inhalation can improve curative rate, clinical symptoms and pulmonary function in the treatment of children with MPP.
