Objective: To explore the effect of intervertebral foramen injection combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy for lumbar facet joint syndrome. Methods: 140 patients with lumbar facet syndrome received from our hospital from March 2014 to January 2018 were randomly divided into control group(n=70,nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics therapy and extracorporeal shock wave therapy) and observation group(n=70,nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic therapy+extracorporeal shock wave therapy+intervertebral foramen injection), the related index and effect were observed. Results: Compared with the control group the excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).After treatment,the VAS score,RMDQ score and ODI score in each time period were significantly decreased in the two groups, the scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group when they were treated for 1,4 and 8 weeks respectively (P<0.05).The QOL-SF36 score increased significantly in the two groups,while the QOL-SF36 score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),in addition,the hospitalization time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of intervertebral foramen injection and extracorporeal shock wave therapy for the lumbar facet syndrome is effective.It can effectively shorten the course of the disease and improve the quality of life.It has the value of clinical promotion.
