Objective:To explore the method and clinical experience of applying two local skin flaps to repair the small-sized skin defects in the upper part of the ear. Methods:A tongue shaped flap or an improved rhomboid flap was designed to repair the defect in the upper part of the ear.Results:In 9 patients, all the flaps survived and the wounds healed at the first intention. All patients were followed up for 3 months to 1 year. All the patients had satisfactory appearances of the auricles and no obvious scars. Conclusion:The combination of two local skin flaps is effective in the repairingsmall-sized skin defects of the anterior auricular region, and which is worthy of clinical use. |
