Objective:To analyze the metabolic risk factors related to colorectal cancer(CRC) in order to provide a basis for primary and secondary prevention of CRC. Methods:Four hundred and seventy-two patients diagnosed with CRC in our hospital were selected as observation group, and 319 volunteers who received physical examination in our hospital were as control group. Basic data, including gender, age, etc., body composition index and laboratory metabolism indicators were collected. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to compare the differences of these indicators between the two groups and to analyze the risk factors related to metabolism in CRC patients. Results:Variables of body mass index(BMI), waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratio(WHR), body fat, body fat percentage, visceral fat area, triglyceride(TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), serum uric acid in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Variables of waist circumference(OR=1.105, P=0.035), WHR(OR=1.384, P=0.046), body fat percentage(OR=1.526, P=0.027), visceral fat area(OR=2.027, P=0.043), LDL-C(OR=1.623, P=0.023) and serum uric acid(OR=3.213, P=0.033) which entered the regression equation were undergone logistic regression analysis. Conclusion:Metabolic related diseases are closely associated with CRC. We should pay attention to obesity indexes such as body fat, body fat percentage and visceral fat area in addition to BMI, waist circumference and WHR in high-risk population screening of CRC. Besides dyslipidemia, diabetes and obesity, the effect of high blood uric acid level on CRC can't be neglected. |
