Objective: To master the caries level of children group in Honghuagang District, Zunyi City by investigating the caries rate of first permanent molars and the average caries surface of elementary school students in urban and rural areas of Zunyi City.Methods: Random sampling method was used to check the diagnostic criteria in the Fourth National Oral Health Epidemiological Sampling Survey Program. A caries epidemiological survey of oral first permanent molars was conducted from June to December 2021 on 2 203 students from grade 1 to grade 6 in urban elementary school and rural elementary school in Honghuagang District, Zunyi City, respectively, and the related results were recorded.Results: The caries rate of urban and rural children aged 6-12 years in Zunyi city increased with age, and the caries rate of urban children was lower than that of rural children(P<0.001) Among them, the caries rate of urban children in 6-9 years old was lower than that of township children(P<0.05), and the caries rates of urban and rural children in 9-12 years old were not statistically different(P>0.05).Conclusion: The caries rate of children aged 6-12 in both urban and rural areas of Zunyi City is at a high level and increases with age, and the caries rate of children in urban areas is lower than that in rural areas. |
