Objective:To analyze the epidemic characteristics of syphilis in a district of Tangshan from 2018 to 2023, and to consider and improve the prevention and control measures of syphilis.Methods:The data of syphilis cases and population in a district of Tangshan city from 2018 to 2023 were analyzed based on the information system of CDC. SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the prevalence of syphilis, and chi-square test was used to compare the incidence of a disease. The incidence of a disease was statistically significant(P<0.05). Results:From 2018 to 2023, the cumulative reported cases of syphilis in a certain district of Tangshan City were 240, and the average annual reported incidence rate was 7.26 per 100 000. The reported incidence rate of syphilis cases from 2018 to 2023(6.08 per 100 000-6.69 per 100 000) generally showed an upward trend(trend χ2=82.071, P<0.001). From 2018 to 2023, the reported syphilis cases were mainly latent syphilis(218 cases, 90.83%), and the incidence rate showed an upward trend. The incidence of stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ syphilis shows a downward trend. The analysis of time distribution mainly focuses on July to September. The regional distribution was mainly concentrated in rural areas(148 cases, 12.15 per 100 000). The reported incidence rate among men is higher than that among women. The high-incidence age group was 50-59 years old(46 cases, 19.17%), followed by 40-49 years old(45 cases, 18.75%) and 30-39 years old age groups(43 cases, 17.92%). The occupations were mainly farmers(115 cases, 47.92%), followed by domestic chores and unemployment(28 cases, 11.67%), and workers(28 cases, 11.67%). Conclusion: The syphilis epidemic situation in a certain district of Tangshan City is generally on the rise. We should continue to increase publicity efforts and syphilis detection capabilities, syphilis cases should be managed in a standardized manner throughout the process to control the spread of syphilis from the source. |
